The Riverwalk was envisioned by the Open Space Subcommittee of the Ipswich Master Plan Commission in 1988. In the ensuing years ardent advocates included the Ipswich River Festival Committee, the Ipswich Partnership, and the Ipswich Riverwalk Committee. EBSCO Publishing and the Quebec Labrador Foundation gave life to the vision by allowing the Riverwalk to be built over their property. Those recognized below, the residents of Ipswich, and many other talented and generous contributors together brought this dream to fruition.
